List of updates in this chapter
  • Update #1 (March 28, 2015, 3:46 a.m. EDT): Fixing grammar errors I haven't fixed yet in my "Conflicts with other chapters" blockquote after the end of this chapter.
  • Update #2 (March 28, 2015, 1:00 p.m. EDT): Adding extra information in the "conflicts" box for Chapters 4 and 5, relating to Gash's missing/dead parents.
  • Update #3 (April 15, 2015, 12:10 a.m. EDT): [MAJOR UPDATE] Koruru will be involved in this remake's storyline, not directly in this first chapter, but after this chapter. She would be introduced in Chapter 2+'s remake storyline (as stated in the "Conflicts with other chapters" section), so additional changes were made to this remake's storyline but Koruru would be kept away from the main events just to keep the remake's storyline as close to the original storyline. I haven't stated everything that she would do in this remake's storyline but I stated as much as I could think, especially the more notable ones.
  • Update #4 (April 15, 2015, 1:23 a.m. EDT): [ACCIDENTAL REVERT] DARN IT! :angry:  While updating this chapter multiple times, for some reason, everything was erased (there was an error while submitting this my last time). I had to go through my Sta.sh and replacement my mistake with the previously saved revision of this chapter back in March 28.
  • Update #5 (April 15, 2015, 2:10 a.m. EDT): [RE-FIX UPDATE] Took a while to fix this chapter and re-mention Future Koruru (as Zeon's wife/princess) for my remake's storyline but there is still for me to write. Will update more later.
  • Update #6 (April 15, 2015, 11:38 a.m. EDT): It seems like there is a character limit when writing literature (I kept getting errors while trying to submit unless if I take away a paragraph or two out) so I moved the "Conflicts with other chapters" section to this description. I also added additional notable changes involving with future Koruru that I haven't made yet or forgot to re-add.
  • Update #7 (May 21, 2015, 11:10 p.m. EDT): Adding a castle theme song for a palace scene and changing the second romance music.
  • Update #8 (May 24, 2015, 12:53 p.m. EDT): Because I'm remaking my fan fiction, I'm removing the differences between the remake's storyline and first storyline. I'm also removing the last few paragraphs to add in a bigger cliffhanger.
  • Update #9 (July 3, 2015, 7:37 p.m. EDT): Changing "Location" to "Scene" in the subheadings.
  • Update #10 (August 2, 2015, 11:21 p.m. EDT): For speaking spells, I change "casted" to "incanted."
  • Update #11 (October 4, 2016, 9:17 p.m. EDT): Updated my main journal skin (added a chapter list for this remade storyline in the footer and added my 2nd GG!DRA Updates journal and the link to my remade storyline on FanFiction.NET) and I'll be applying my updated Rai'oh journal skin to all of my remade chapters (I'm not going to post this update in every chapter (as well as my related journals); this one update in this chapter counts for ALL CHAPTERS) and since my updated Rai'oh journal skin now has a chapter list for my remade storyline, I'm removing the chapter list in each chapter from the description box since they aren't needed anymore (I only had a chapter list in those description boxes since I couldn't update my journal skin as a regular DeviantART member). I also removed the notice at the bottom of this chapter, which was telling you to ignore the scrollboxes since I didn't have my remade chapter list in the footer at the time.
  • Update #12 (September 6, 2018, 11:01 p.m. EDT): Now that I copy/pasted all of my chapters from here to my Blogger, I'm not really digging the original title name of the first chapter anymore. I decided to rename this chapter from "Missing Parents?" to "A Sad King under the Rain Clouds".
  • Update #13 (November 25, 2018, 11:56 p.m. EST): I added an announcement in the description today and I'll also state something similar in this chapter and this chapter only. Read that before reading this fanfiction series. I also removed the vague bath scene in this channel due to complaints I received the Zatch Bell! community.
  • Update #14 (November 26, 2018, 2:15 a.m. EDT): [MAJOR UPDATE] Rewriting the disclaimer in the middle of the chapter much better. AHHHHH! I was such an idiot! Ignore anything prior! It never happened! (At least for the people that haven't read it yet) My apologies to everyone who read such filth! It's all good now. The mature content for sexual themes is also removed since I removed the scene. Also made some grammar fixes.
  • Update #15 (November 26, 2018, 11:52 p.m. EDT): [MAJOR UPDATE] Rewriting the disclaimer in the beginning and middle of the chapter again further detail. And I also made many more grammar fixes (why am I still finding them!?).
  • Update #16 (March 7, 2019, 12:53 p.m. EDT): [MAJOR UPDATE] Removing some extra, unnecessary scenes.
  • Update #17 (March 12, 2019, 5:20 p.m. EDT): [MAJOR UPDATE] Rewriting a paragraph too. It's very vague but I'm still making it filler-less as possible.
  • Update #18 (May 9, 2019, 11:19 p.m. EST): [MAJOR UPDATE] Wow, I found some more cringy scenes I missed while removing stuff back in November and March. So much for "revised". Now it's really revised. People, if you find anything cringy within this fanfiction series, PLEASE LET ME KNOW and I'll take care of it. I don't have time to re-inspect everything I previously wrote years ago.
  • Update #19 (March 12, 2020, 1:00 p.m. EDT): Never would have thought I would come back here again but I decided to update the disclaimer, featuring what types of content exist and doesn't exist in this fanfiction series.
  • Update #20 (March 29, 2020, 12:15 a.m. EDT): HAPPY 5th ANNIVERSARY of this remake! (Sorry, I have no plans to do something for this anniversary.) I added a few more bits of disclaiming information about the level of violence, mentioning that there will be bloodshed, character deaths, and limb loss. I should have done that in my previous update.
  • Update #21 (March 16, 2020, 3:14 p.m. EDT): Mentioning the release of Konjiki no Gash!! 2 manga in the overview, noting that my fanfic and my fanfic's world-building is completely separate from anything that happens Konjiki no Gash!! 2. I was never expecting the original manga to get a sequel manga until I learned earlier this month but other than reading the first chapter, I'm not really interested in it.

Ordered from first to last. If a character was mentioned before being seen, I will place that character where he/she was first seen instead of the first time that character was mentioned. I will also list their roles, whether they were a protagonist, supporter, or antagonist of the chapter (or for the entire fan fiction) unless if they were only mentioned. I wonder if there is actually a character limit or if something was wrong with the final paragraph.

Character roles:

  • Protagonist: Heroes that will commonly appear in each chapter.
  • Protagonist/Supporter: Heroes that won't get much attention but will still appear or at least be mentioned in each chapter somehow.
  • Supporter: Hero/neutral characters that will only appear in a chapter or two.
  • Antagonist: Evil characters. The entire Demon Revolution Army are the antagonists of my fan fiction.

Oh, recently, I noticed there was a Gash Café omake (or 16 of them). The Gash Café is an omake (manga extra) that appears at the end of each Konjiki no Gash!! e-Book Volume and there are 16 Volumes. Konjiki no Gash!! was re-released as an e-book in 2018 and 2019 and there are some interesting stuff in it like Tio/Tia's parents and even the name reveal of the previous Mamodo/Demon King at the end of the 16th Gash Café. Zatch's and Zeno's father's name is Dauwan Bell (ダウワン・ベル). Not only that but he had a scarred human partner named Willy or Willie (ウィリー). Now, why I am bringing this up, I assumed that Dauwan Bell was natively giant, but the Gash Café shows that he can change his size so I don't know if he is natively giant, which kind of plot holes in this fanfiction.

While I made many changes in this fanfiction series for a few months things I didn't like keeping and altered, I'm keeping the assumption that Zatch/Gash's father and his family line are giant mamodo (without mentioning that they can change their size). I don't remember all the times I mentioned Zatch's father being a giant and I don't feel like correcting anything else. At the very least, I went back to the ZB! Wiki and made some changes for Zatch/Zeno's father on there and it may be the last thing I'll do until something new happens.

I'm not much of a Zatch Bell! fan these days. I moved on to do other things since the end of 2017 but I occasionally revisit ZB when new things happen and when I'm aware of them and I was late learning about this, which got me back into ZB for a short amount of time. I'm more of a Power Rangers/Super Sentai fan these days and I'm recently getting into Kamen Rider.

For those of you that are sticking around for my DDLC fan projects, I'm still taking a hiatus on that but it will eventually come back. I'm not done with DDLC just yet. So far, Old School RuneScape is taking most of my time away so once my RS membership expires, I'll be able to focus on my DDLC fan projects easier but I hope I will be motivated by then since my motivation to be work on these things has been lacking in a few months. Rushing to get my DDLC fanfic version done before June wore me out and my motivation still hasn't returned. I've been feeling lazy in these few months since then.
